James Herriot Museum:-
Situated in the actual 'Skeldale House' at No 23 Kirkgate, Thirsk, North Yorkshire, Hambleton District Council's millenium project explores veterinary science and takes visitors on a journey back to the 1940's. It is a unique tribute to Alf Wight, famous author of the James Herriot novels and is the only centre of its kind in the UK dedicated to Veterinary science.

Ripon Cathedral
For over 1300 years people have been coming to worship and pray at Ripon. The Cathedral building itself is the focus of this continuing act of worship, begun in the 7th century when Saint Wilfrid built one of England’s first stone churches on this site, and still renewed every day.
