Jean Hotton - Pianist Saturday 14th August |
Saturday 14th August at Oswalds Jean Hotton studied the cello and piano at the Royal College of Music, London gaining her G.R.S.M. and A.R.C.M. diplomas on both instruments. Since graduating, Jean has worked as an accompanist on the piano and as a solo pianist specialising in providing entertaining background music for weddings, civil partnerships, dinners and corporate functions. Her extensive repertoire includes the well-known Classics (music by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Satie. etc), the popular Standards of the 20s, 30s, 40's, 50s and 60s (e.g. Gershwin, Kern, Cole Porter; The Beatles), Songs from the Shows, (musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Chess, Les Miserables), T.V. & Film Themes, and current "pop" standards. Recent Engagements include:- Aldwark Manor, Bedern Hall, Betty's Restaurant in York (regular booking), Castle Howard, Duncombe Park, Solberge Hall, Swinton Park, The Taverners' Club, Headingley. Jean has her own electric Stage Piano if required.
