This charity was founded by Hilda and Dave and (Sylvia Eastwood - now Gaunt)

In 1960 after the death of Sylvia's sister Susan aged 6 years to Leukaemia, at that time leukaemia was a death sentence and Susan lived 6 weeks, now thanks to the work of this family and a dedicated band of supporters, the charity is now national and with no government support, it has raised over £350 million to date and Susan's type of Leukaemia Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia now has a 90% survival rate.  Some of the best researchers from all over the world are sponsored by our charity, including the RVI in Newcastle.

All thanks to people like yourselves who give of their time and money, quite simply money makes it happen.

For example:- £250 can buy one week's worth of essential laboratory supplies.  We wont stop until we beat blood cancers.

Thank you for your support at our dinner
