Oswald's at Sowerby is pleased to support local suppliers and independent vegetable growers, dairies and fresh meat in order to maintain its key objective of sourcing meat only from farms in North Yorkshire and other fresh produce from the North of England. We believe there is no need for frozen goods except fantastic homemade ice cream of course!
Every dish on our menu has great care put into complete design, preparation and final presentation and we are passionate about taste and presentation. We are not a fast food outlet and great care takes time!! Our kitchen team includes three highly motivated and talented chefs led by the Head Chef, the Sous Chef and a Chef de Partie. All three are young, enthusiastic and ready for the challenge of obtaining accrediations and awards.
In addition to our back of house team are a great Front of House team led by the Restaurant Manager and a lead waiter with a team of great casual local restaurant and bar staff. All team members are working hard in ensuring each and every guest enjoys Oswald's at Sowerby and feels comfortable and relaxed away from home.
The Events Manager is working hard to manage the operation and develop the business, gain momentum and ensure all aspects of our guests' stay or meal is exceptional. Our Events Manager takes the lead in organising Wedding Receptions, Dinner Parties and Events. And finally the General Manager who brings over 12 years experience in the industry, with a background spanning sales and operations working for some of the UK's largest hotel comapnies. The General Manager's vision for Oswald's is to maintain its quaint appeal, relaxing atmosphere and team's passion for great food, wine and service.
"I would like to welcome customers old and new to enjoy Oswald's at Sowerby and thank the team for all their hard work over the past months and our achievements. "
